Unfortunately, no. She said I could go on the pill to alleviate the pain, but I have a blood clot disorder, so I cannot go on the pill. She also said there is PT if it gets really bad. I have heard there are some exercises to alleviate the pain; I just need to find someone who knows them!
Thanks for your concern, and I wish you all the best.
Thank God thats all it was. Did she give you soething for the pain?
Hi everyone,
I had a transvaginal ultrasound and my ovaries and uterus were normal. My doctor said there was a little excess fluid in my lower abdomen, which could be due to a cyst that recently burst. She said my pain is probably attributable to scar tissue, so it seems like I will just have to deal with it. From what I read, most people who have had c-sections / other abdominal surgery end up getting surgical adhesions. She did say she would try to cut it out if/when I have another c-section. If anyone has any advice re: scar tissue, I would greatly appreciate it.
Again, thanks for the responses and kind words while I was very nervous.
I wish you all the best.
Maria
Good luck for tomorrow, I hope the results settle your mind, though I know the waiting part is difficult
I am up in the middle of the night because I'm so nervous. I have my transvaginal ultrasound tomorrow with my ob/gyn. I cannot thank you all enough for your encouraging words. I will let you know as soon as I find out what is causing this unexplained pain.
Thanks again.
It could be a number of things but odds are with you that it isn't ovca. You could have a cyst or adhesions or even endometriosis causing your symptoms. Seeing your gyn is the best way to get to the bottom of this. If you get a transvaginal ultrasound that will show if there are any masses on the ovaries and put to rest your concern of it being ovca. I know it is scary to have unidentified symptoms but try not to worry. Just my opinion - but it doesn't sound like ovca based on your symtpoms. Best wishes in your follow up.
It could be anything...get checked by your ob/gyn ...my guess it could be a cyst or scar tissue that can develop after surgery. Please let us know as soon as you can. Good Luck. Gia :)
Could you be ovulating at this time? I remember when I was ovulating or near that time I would get hot pain on either side of groin (inguinal) where the ovaries are located, and I had cysts and oooooh man they can get tender and painful as a bugger. I agree if you have a fear, then by all means get seen by your physician.
Get checked for adhesions, if you have them come back here and we will tell you how to break them up. After a C-section , 1 year is just about the time for them to develope.
Was reading my comment -
I meant Breathe - lol - not breath -
I was going to say take a deep breath
or
Breathe ....
Oh well! Either way, call that obgyn! Don't guess, you'll make your self sick with worry!
Carol
Breath - call the obgyn and get in to see him. Lots of things could cause what you described.
Never guess - it is when we let things go that things get bad.
Let us know what they say!
Hugs and best wishes!
Carol
