Possible findings at Doc

I seen the doc on friday to check on a cyst on my left ovary, luckily the cyst was gone but the doc did a t/u/s and said that I have numorous follicles in ovaries and that I possibly have polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and ordered some bloodwork to confirm AND THAT WAS IT,so I really don't understand and does anybody know if this PCOS can cause ovarian cancer or anything else.I was so nervous I did't asked alot of questions like I should have any help would be great...

Before you get too worked up try keep in mind that maybe the reason he didn't go into detail about what it is might be was because he wanted to be sure either way before he outlined a game plan. I'm sure some ladies will be by soon to help out, but just try not to worry.

Go to www.mayoclinic.com, and use the alphabetical listing to look up Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.  It does NOT cause ovarian cancer, but it does have other side effects.  Read the article, hopefully it will help you to understand your dr and give you some ideas of questions to ask.

Hope this helps!
