Possible to develop Ovarian Cancer 'without' tumours present?

Is it possible to develop ovarian cancer without having tumours present? Without ovaries being enlarged? I've been sick with typical 'ovc' symptoms since December, went through multiple tests, bloodwork, CA-125, CT scans, ultrasounds, changed doctors, etc.  I'm in my late 30's, and the symptoms just keep adding, loss of weight, pain moving from navel region to diaphragm, nausea, fatigue, loss of appetite, bowel problems, coughing, discharge, the fun just keeps adding.  I've read a great deal on ovarian cancer, it seems that unless the disease decides to present itself - there's not much you can do.

My problem is I really don't want to wait until I'm too weak for surgery or chemo.  I know my only option is biopsy or ovary removal (not bothered by this, I have no plans for children).  Has anyone ever gone ahead and requested such a thing?

Hi Sharon! I'm impressed with how knowledgeable you are on the subject and how proactive you are.  It sounds like your doing the right things and I'm not medical professional, but I have been there.  One test I didn't see on your test is a colonoscopy.  Your a candidate for one with those symptoms.  There are many bowel diseases with your symptoms too.  But your doing the right thing, keep going until you get the answer.

Hi there, I did do a colonoscopy as well (el yucko) - and am trying to be as proactive as possible (sometimes I wonder if the internet is a friend or a enemy for knowledge) - just wish someone would take me seriously :/
