Post Surgery Ovarian Cancer (?)

Is it possible that ovarian cancer could have been present in my ovary but not detected during my hysterectomy, but a few weeks after surgery it could start to grow and be show up on a ct scan.  A fluid attenuation mass on left ovary measures 5.1x4.9x4.7cm .  This was not present on a ct prior to surgery 12/1, or was not see during surgery 12/29.  Ct scan was done 02/19 that showed mass.

I'm far from an expert but this sounds more like a cyst to me.  What does your doctor say and how are they proposing to treat it?
