Post op pain

Just wondering if anyone else had this problem.  I get up in the morning feeling pretty good.  By mid afternoon I am so sore.  I know, I know.  I have only been home 2 days.  Maybe home care can give me some insight.

Hey Lady

Take it from me the voice of experience ..you are healing just right ..Your description of morning not bad to a progressive owie state ..is just right ..Means you are doing Well
Remember ..I am keeping a close eye on you as I hope to follow in your shoes ...you could say you inspired me because you did :)
And
You also know how many operations I have healed/recovered from both top and bottom ;)

Today I am starting off yet another one of those crazy days with a MRI over at the Princess Margaret  Then off to my Surgeons office to explain my feelings and fears about my knees and with any luck I will be given an appt for the specialist at Womens College ..Where I can have everything done at once ..Found out the gynie there is fantastic . Then off to work and back to my mom and another football night again ..last night he had one.. thursday night another ..My sons team The Argo's (minors)is undefeated and are being challenged by all the all star teams ....so far they are unstoppable bless their hearts and a blood pressure pill for mine ...lol  My son says only 4 games left in the season so hopefully with new surgeon will be able to see more then the 2 I had planned ..

Anyway Love..be patient ..good things come to those who wait ..

Hugs but not too tight ;)

This might seem like an odd thing to say but enjoy the pain. It means your alive and it means its OVER! You know how when you were younger you would have a pregnancy scare (actually maybe you didn't lol talking from my own experience here) and that wonderfull feeling of PERIOD PAINS! Oh how glorious that pain was :D

Thanks for the responses. I figured it was just me being impatient with myself.  I hate not being able to do simple stuff like bend over.  I forgot, mishelle, that we had surgery say day.  I guess we can cheer each other on.  Do you have drains from the incision?  They took one out the day I left the hospital but I have to wait for the other two to stop draining. These two are because of the plastic surgery site.  The other thing is that the lower left side feels like the staples are shifting when I move the wrong way.  Gross.  One funny thing.  I look like I have multiple small hickies on my neck.  They put an IV in the jugular vein post op.  I guess they could not find a vein any where else because of the amount of bleeding I had.  My son couldn't believe I had one there.  He understood when I told him I was out when they put it in.  He is about as brave as his mother.  You would think age and experience would make us better about how we handle things.

I know they want you to move around some. But, you went through a big ordeal just take care and don't over do it. Let your body lead you. I don't want to see you back in the hospital. Take care

We had surgery the same day and I will tell you it is normal. I get up and OUCH. Towards the end of the day I am back to hurting. Gotta heal on the inside as well as the out as my gramma is fond of saying. Erika
