Preventing Ovarian Cancer Re- Occurrence

by Lovery, Nov 05, 2009 11:14AM
I was diagnosed with stage 3B ovarian cancer in May 2006.  So far it hasn't reoccurred.  I'm doing a lot to keep the cancer from coming back but I recently heard that low-dose naltrexone is a very effective way to prevent re-occurrence.  Is there any data out there on this medication or any testimonials that it's working?

I believe it is used for alcoholism. It hasn't been approved for cancer. It can only be given by prescription. I would ask your Dr. I've read  that naltrexone can have toxic effects on the liver.
