Question on lymphoma--if anyone knows

Does anyone know anything about non-Hodgkins lymphoma?  I have a friend with this and the lymph nodes they took out to biopsy are hard--crytal-like?  Is this normal?  Is it a bad sign?

Let me know if anyone here knows.

Thanks

Here is a story from a woman I know whose husband had been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma after 2 years of various surgeries.

"It's been a long and hard four years fighting Randy's cancer and in December 2005 I really thought we were going to loose the battle. He was at stage 4, in tremendous pain, unable to eat or sleep and the doctors agreed there was little else they could do for him and gave him from 2 weeks to 2 months to live. Frantically searching the internet for something that may help, I found some amazing products and put together a programme for Randy that made sense to me. Getting proper nutrition into him and boosting his immune system was of primary importance. The GNLD whole food products was the answer to that problem. Then we added the Cellular Zeolite, in a theraputic dose, an amazing product that pulled the heavy metals from his system and balanced his Ph levels and also helped to boost his immune system and created a more alkiline environment. We then added a product called Cellfood, in a theraputic dose, which gave him the necessary trace minerals, metabolic enzymes, amino acids and electrolytes and most important enhanced oxygen again changing the environment of his body which the cancer was thriving in.We also added a few detoixifiers. Within a week, Randy was regaining some energy and a decrease in the pain. In May of 2006 after being on this programme for 5 months he had an MRI and is cancer free, much to the doctors surprise. So surprised as to even see him walk in but looking and feeling so good. Randy will continue on this programme in full theraputic dose for six more months when he will receive another MRI and if all is well, will reduce to a maintenance dose. Thank you Sage for introducing me to Cellular Zeolite. Without it I don't belive Randy would be here today. My advise to anyone in the same situation is to not give up hope, don't try one product at a time, time is something you don't have, hit it with as much as possible and at theraputic doses, none of the products mentioned will do any harm, and finally if you don't do something to change the environment the cancer is thriving it will continue to grow.

My cousin was just diagnosed with Hodgskins Disease last week.  She went in for the staging test today.  As her doctor told her, a strong fighting attitude is half of the battle.  It sounds like your friend has a good, strong attitude.  I am sorry she is going through so much, and she is lucky to have a good friend like you.  Kasie

I am not sure what her stage is--she is keeping thing somewhat under wrap (info wise) to spare her mom who is 80 and they just lost her brother two weeks ago to a massive heart attack.  So she is trying to downplay thing s for her mom and doesn't want any possible leaks to her.  But she is otherwise a very strong, positive and healthy person--who won't go down without a major fight.  she is top shelf all the way!

Yes, the lymph nodes affected by the lymphoma would indeed be very hard.  What stage is the disease?

hi, my mother in law has it. She was diagnosed about 10-11 years ago, she just turned 74 last week. She is doing great. She did have chemo when she first was diagnosed but according to her it is very treatable and her particular chemo gave her no side effects at all. She has not had any chemo since then, she does get blood tests regularly though. Also, she is and always has been a very healthy eater. She is a true fruit and veggie person so I think that may contribute to her overall well being.

Hope this helps.
