Hi Laura,
Good to hear from you Cyster! I have had the groinGroin lump Groin pain Groin stretch Jock itch Swollen lymph nodes in the groin pain on and off for years due to recurrentRecurrent cystitis functional cysts and I would have to describe it not only as a pain but a downward pressure! It is hard to describe that's for certain. I have had simple cysts rupture and the pain was terrible for about three days, I described it to my Doc as sharp pain and a pressure that felt like everything inside would fall out! Not sure this helps and I never had the hip pain but thought I'd drop you a post nonetheless! Take Care! MV
I too have the groin pain and the hip pain. The hip pain feels just like a sharp jab. (like something touched a nerve) The groin pain is more of an ache. Sometimes I think that things have shifted while I am sitting down, then when I try to get out of my chair, it takes me a moment to get up, kind of like I am stuck in the sitting possition. This happens mostly at work since I am at a desk during the day. I get up and then it takes a second or two to straighten up. (looks like I am an ninety nine year old woman when this happens - lol)

Sometimes my groin pain feels as if I'm having needles injected into me. Sometimes, my hip/groin area catches when I try to stand from a sitting positions. Sometimes with the catching sensation, I feel as if I'm out of alignment. Sometimes, the elastic of my underwear feels as if it's putting pressure where it rests against my body. Sometimes, I just have a general ache. Sometimes the pain is worse just before I start my period. No wonder the doctors are baffled.
I have the catching sensation too, well, it was gone, and now it's back and it's a stabbing pain too, sometimes sharp and makes me double over and then it's gone, sometimes shooting downward into my "other areas".

I have the same inflammation in the groin & lower stomach area! lost 30% flexibility. I was told that it was from Arthritis of the hip? Still mentally having a problem with believing it! My aches just don't happen when in use, but even in my sleep or simply sitting watching T.V
I am hoping someone can hopefully tell me what is the "facts" of my pains.
