Question

My step daughter has a tennis size mass on left ovary.  She had a ct scan and blood work done.  Her ob-gyn said her ca-125 tested at 165 so positive for malignancy.  All levels of her blood are way off : such as white cell count was double what normal range is.  They are sending her to a gyn-oncologist on Tue.  I would imagine they will do surgery to see exactly what they are dealing with.
Is there any important questions we should ask about treatment that we wouldn't think of??  She is 38 and had a hysterctomy 6 years ago, but they left both ovaries.  We are really concerned about this.  Any info you can pass to me I would so appreciate it.

Hi There,
the elevated white blood cell count is curious. You should ask if there is any sign of infection. The other thing I think of is a twisting or torsion of an ovarian cyst. Torsion can cause pain , fever, and a high white count
please let us know what happens
take care
