I'm so sorry to hear that your having to go through another surgery and I wish I could answer your question's, as I have the same concerns and questions. I'm hoping you can help me by telling me about your surgery's - I will be going in hopefully tomorrow for surgery to remove a large dermoid on my right ovary and possible another on my left, my doctor is also concerned about entometrious as well. He told me yesterday it would be conventional surgery - I did not ask about the lapiscopic surgery. Can you tell me your experience with either procedure or which one you had as well as recoveryRecovery position - series and down time. Also, did you have extreme pain and did the pain go away after surgery? How did you find that you had another in 2006 and now 2007? Did the pain come back? Thanks for your help and time. Libby
I have had 2 laparotomies. I will not kid you, they are painfulPainful menstrual periods, but you willl get through and they will give you pain meds. Do not be afraid to take them! I had always heard that dermoids reoccurred bilaterally. Meaning if you had one in one ovary you were more likely to get one in the other ovary. Has your doctor given you any info on the cysts and what he/she thinks is going on? Best of luck! Laura :)
