Radiologist Wording

Hi, I was recently at the ER with what I thought was either food poisoning or appendicidis.  The doctor ruled those out and performed a gyn exam, ordered both an abdominal and vaginal ultrasound and sent me home with a diagnosis of hemorrhagic cyst.  Got a letter a few days later stating he had it re-read and strongly advised a follow-up ultrasound in 4-6 weeks. I obtained a copy of the report and am concerned about the wording.  The words "bilobate", "irregular" and a sentence stating "an ovarian mass could have this appearance" sent chills through me.  I've been all over the net, but don't find much about irregular cysts.  Would cysts be described in this manner?  Can they be irregular/bilobate?  My follow-up is in two days.  What ever it is I'll deal with it.  Oh, and the cyst/mass is only 1.7cm.

Thank you sooooo much for clearing up that issue for me!  I searched and searched and found nothing that calmed my fears.  My second ultrasound is tomorrow and I'll sleep better tonight knowing this information.  And to anyone facing similar problems...YOU ARE YOUR OWN BEST FRIEND and advocate; listen to that little voice, better to come across as a pushy *&@%$ and be wrong than learn you weenied and now have advanced ovarian cancer. This is beastie is way lethal!  AND push your mothers, sisters, aunts and girlfriends to take it seriously and learn the warning signs.  They are there, if we listen to our bodies.
