Relieved?

Well I had my MRI done yesterday.  I had to wait forever though--I was already anxious and in a little pain so the waiting did not help.  Hopefully they will know where the mass originates from.  They said it will take 3-4 business days for the results (ugh, more waiting), but at least the test is done.

Isn't there a rock song that goes, "The waiting is the hardest part." ?  Anyone know who sings it?

Hey there how are you.  I must say you are probably one of the most positive women on this site, and yes waiting is like Hell without the heat of course (unless you're going through hot flashes)lol.  Anyway, I should know my results on the 16th.  P.S.  I feel like you are my cyber buddy because you respond to me so quickly, so can I officially adopt you;).  Enough about me though, hope you are well.  This is really a great site and I know it's just the internet, but somehow I feel a strong connection with the women here.

Thanks for the compliment.  I don't always feel very positive but I try to write "positively."  I feel a great connection to the women on this site -- especially those who seem to have symptoms similar to mine!  But then I get all the names mixed up...

Remind me about your cyst.  They don't know where it's coming from?  They don't know what mine is either.  It's 4cm x 5cm, located between my ovaries at the top of the vaginal cuff where my uterus used to be.  One radiologist and gyn/onc think maybe it's an inclusion cyst in scar tissue, or else endometrial.  My gyn thinks it's linked to one of the ovaries.  The gyn/onc actually took my CT scans to a "tumor meeting" to talk with other drs about what it might be!  Now he's ordered a colonoscopy, they don't think it's colon cancer but whatever-it-is is pressing on my bowel and they want to be sure it's not intruding into it, they said endometrial tissue can get into the bowel.  So I get to do a bowel-cleaning on Mothers Day!  And my daughter has a dance competition I REALLY want to go to that day!

Let me know when you find out what your cyst is and where it came from.  Mine's coming out on the 18th - yay!  But the gyn/onc won't promise a laparascopy, he says he "doesn't like to pull things off a bowel with chopsticks."

Another funny.  Today I was talking to my boss (female age 61) about what I would go thru if I remove both my ovaries.  She stopped me short:  "It's not a hot flash.  It's a brief tropical vacation."

Also forgot to mention, the reason I answer so quickly is that I use the computer as a way to procrastinate.  It's so much more fun to talk to you ladies than to do laundry or balance my checkbook!

Well the mass is 4.5cm separate from the ovary and uterus.  I personally think it's from the left ovary, but I get pain on the right side as well (weird).  The report says uterus and ovaries are normal, but there is a small amount of fluid in the cul-de-sac.  I'm not sure if I should worry or not--it's good you're getting yours out though.  Hopefully I will have my surgery soon because my medical leave runs out this month (this was due to heart surgery that I had in March).  You will be in my prayers for a complete and speedy recovery.
