Removal of ovaries,one with mass, lymph nodes and appendix

Question regarding my 72 year old sister's surgery procedure, a mass was found on one ovary, was a 'little malignant". both ovaries were removed along with lymph nodes and  her appendix. Looking for more inforamtion you can shed. Thanks.

According to my gyn/onc, not the one who did the surgery, unfortunately, that is normal because the cancer can spread to the lymph nodes and the appendix easily.
