Restage OVCA

ovca stage 3, had surgery and 6 rounds of chemo, taxol, carbo. CA125 went from 355 to 3.6  now one year later.   Have three nodules, and ca125 still 3.6 no symtoms.  But one nodule just slight larger now, 1.1cm  Dr. suggested to go for Pet scan to see if active.   I am taking ginger and turmeric since I finished the chemo in April of this year 2006.  If active he suggested to go on Doxil,  ?????

Hi Terrin
I agree with getting some more information. With your Ca125 being normal it is important to prove that the nodules are anything abnormal. A pet scan may help or a biopsy of one of the nodules.

Doxil is definitely a great second line agent. If you have a biopsy that shows cancer cells, another option is to treat with carbo or taxol again. But first, let's see if the PET scan shows anything.
I know this must be very stressful
