Rising CA-125 levels

Rising CA-125 levels

I underwent treatment for ovarian cancer (Taxol and Carboplatin X3) in 2006.  Currently, I see my Gyn-Onc every 3 months and my CA-125 levels are monitored.  My last four results (microgram/milliliter) were 12.6, 13.2, 13.7, and 16.6.  The office nurse told me that a variation of 10-15% is normal.  Should I be concerned that my values are slowly rising with an overall rise of approximately 30%?

I was told by my onc not to worry unless they were jumping twice as much. I wouldn't worry too much, just talk to your onc and see what he/she says. Also, anything below 21 is considered normal. Best of luck, DEandra
