Ruptured Cysts

Hi, On April 12 I had a sonogram which showed two simple cysts on my left ovary and one complex cyst on my right ovary.  My gyn set up a surgery, May 6, for a D&C because of a thickening of the uterus lining and possible polyp, and a laproscopy for the cysts.  I went back Friday 4/30 for a follow up sonogram and ultrasound.  One cyst remained on the left ovary, still simple, the complex cyst on the right ovary was gone.  Wednesday before I went back I had horrible pain, about the worst I had ever felt.  It lasted about 30 to 45 minutes and then eased up.  My gyn said that the complex cyst may have ruptured and that could have caused that type of pain.

I am 46, and on Tamoxifen for DCIS which was successfully removed 04/2003.  My gyn is still going to do the laproscopy with the D&C this Thursday.  What are the consequences of a complex cyst rupturing?  If by any chance the cyst was cancerous is it now spreading through my body?  Also what are the chances of the uterine lining/polyp being malignant, since I have been advised that taking tamoxifen increases the chance of uterine cancer?

I hate to be such a worry wart, but after getting the big 'C' diagnosis once before it stays stuck in the back of my mind.
