Screening Question

Screening Question

Hello.  On Memorial Day weekend I was taken to an emergency room for extreme abdominal pain.  I stayed in the hospital for 2 days, I had a high white blood cell count and fever on arrival.  I had an abdominal ultrasound, CT scan with contrast, and an endoscopy.  The ER doctors seemed to think it was more to do with my gall bladder or pancreas, and there was some evidence of "sludge" in this area.  Subsequently I had an MRI of those areas which showed nothing.  I'm curious if any of this could be ovarian/female related?  For the past year I've had a dull cramping between periods.  I'm 33, with three children.  My mother had a hysterectomy in her early 50's, I'm not sure of the reasons and she has since passed away from a stroke.  I took birth control in my 20's for about 4 or 5 years.  My last child was born in 2000 via c-section.  I don't know if any of the tests I had at the ER would have checked my ovaries, i.e. the ultrasound, as at the time I was knocked out on pain killers.  Is it common for people with ovarian cancer or cysts to be misdiagnosed with digestive problems?  As all my tests are negative for that, I'm wondering if I need to start seeing my OB/GYN.  I do go yearly for PAP tests. Any advice and direction would be appreciated.
