Second Look / Consolidation Chemotherapy?

Hi,
Stage 3B diagnosis, ca-125 currently in normal range; six cycles of Carbo/Taxol completed. Doctor is mentioning second look surgery and suggesting consolidation chemotherapy by IP directly into the abdomen. Has anyone gone this route? Thanks! Be well all.

I have only heard of IP therapy for the later stages of OvCa. And only when you have visible tumors.. Maybe something new ? IP therapy is very hard and harsh. Usually they give you a 12 month taxol or taxol- carbo maintence plan. Not real sure why they would suggest IP therapy? let me know, I am interested. Take care, at least you made it through the inital treatment YAY!!!
