Seromucinous borderline tumor

Seromucinous borderline tumor

Dear Doctor-
Last week I had surgery for a seromucinous borderline tumor.  Leading up to the surgery the outlook seemed bleak and chemo therapy loomed.  After the surgery the Dr., a gynecologist oncologist, stated chemo would be needed.  However, when the pathology came back the picture seemed to change and I was told the surgery was the treatment and that I wouldn't need chemo.  I'm confused, yet happy.  The tumor was a  15 c, seromucinous borderline tumor present on the ovarian surface with bilateral ovarian involvment.  Many lymph nodes were excised with no evidence of malignancy.  A noninvasive desmoplastic implant of seromucinous borderline tumor was excised in the cul-de-sac.  The uterous has surface involvement with endosalpingiosis, adenomyosis and leiomyoma.

I don't know what all this means and don't know what questions to ask at my doctors visit 1/28.  Any ideas as to where I can get further reliable information.  A second opinion?  Thank you very much.
Jules
