Should I be concerned?

Should I be concerned?

I really need some advice here.  I'm only 26, I've been on birth control since I was 14. Until recently, since we are trying to conceive.  During the past 3 years I've had 6 trips to the ER for abdominal pain.  All diagnosis the same, ovarian cyst.  I had surgery to have one removed in Dec. 2002.  All test came out normal, including CA-125.  I have a strong family history of female cancers.  My eldest sister is going through kemo as we speak (started as cervical now in vulva and lymphnodes) not really much that can be done.  Anyway, the pain was so bad this past Sunday that I had to go back to the ER.  I waited 6 hours for them to hand me 2 percocets and say see your GYN.  They didn't even do a sonogram.  I just went to the GYN today and she gave me some meds for the pain and says that after a sonogram she's going to put me on Lupron, because I may have endometriosis.  But when they did the surgery back in December she said that there was no sign of endo.  If the brochure is correct, then Lupron will make me basically start menopause?  Right?  My concern is that I'm a newlywed and my husband and I want to start a family.  If I go on this medication it will make it impossible for me to have children.  I'm an emotional wreck...I don't want to be in pain, but I want a family more than anything.  What should I do?  Should I get another opinion or are there other options?  Please help.

Thanks,
tjenel
