Significance of ovarian microcalcifications and links to tamoxifen usage

Age 55 years - postmenopausal. Diagnosed with breast cancer (left) 3 years ago. Lumpectomy and removal of 30+ lymph nodes, followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Continuing to take tamoxifen (20 mg daily, over 3 years)

Currently, lower back and pelvic pain led to ultrasound scan - showing multiple fibroids, obscuring endometrium, with prolapse. Also bulky left ovary with multiple microcalcifications and some free fluid in POD. Previous history of multiple haemorrhagic ovarian cysts and PID, cervical erosions etc. Primary infertility.

Mother died of secondaries, following breast cancer on both sides. Previous history of gynae problems and hysterectomy. (No other female close relatives.)

What are the links between tamoxifen and current condition. Any genetic links likely? Need some explanation of significance of calcifications and meaning of POD. Awaiting gynae consultation (this is UK and it takes time!)
