Does anyone know much about Functional/Simple cysts? I was just diagnosed with having a 4cm functional cyst on my right ovary and we are TTC. Do you know if this will cause us trouble conceiving or do we need to wait for the cyst to go away before we will be able to conceive? Thanks for any help you can offer.
A functional cyst is the normalNormal saline flush corpus luteum cyst that forms every month to release an egg. Yours is a bit larger than normalNormal saline flush, so it may have gotten "stuck", and may turn into a hemmhoragic cyst. These are also no big deal, they go away on their own. They just take longer.
No problems with conceiving and having a functional cyst....
Good luck!
