The pool I was in had bromide in it, not chlorine, I was very surpirsed to get the rash because I was doing well with my skin. The temp was above tepid, so I sure that played a factor. I have a hard time not eating every hour, after chemo because it helps with the queesey feeling I get, and all I want is chocolate. Garden tub with tepid water sounds cooling. Thinking of you both.
Marie she swims in the pool especially filled for the chemo patients at the local hospital this pool was donated to our town by a wealthy couple that lost a daughter to OVCA the water has no harsh chemicals and is filtered completely every 1/2 hour we found out about it through her daughters they all had been life guards there at one time or another . the water is kept at a certain temperture also, Leslee had to stop the swimming when her feet broke out though she told me today that she sure misses using their hot tub. I warned her about using rubber gloves, she has to do private care for some of her people at work but the only blisters she got on her hands were around her rings, it seems like we find out new things all the time as we go along this journey. She will be adding Sea Salt to her natural remedies tomorrow. Back in the olden days the wealthy people took sea voyages to get cures, guess they breathed the salty air. had to laugh at her when she told me that now she fills their garden tub full and uses the swimming strokes as much as possible. she says the laps are a lot shorter. She wrote a letter to Jenny Craig and asked them to develop a diet geared for weight loss for people on chemo. She is disgusted with her weight gain. Her next scan is set for the 16th of Sept. She did get a massage today and she said it hurt her, I didn't know she had it set up or I would have advised her not to get it.
