Interesting eh. Isn't that good that you toughed it out and went, and had such a good result. Just think how much better you are going to feel after lots of great sleeps!
Take care

So...do you get to bring home a machine to use? (I'm so clueless about this CPAP machine) It's very interesting though, my dad has bad apnea (sp?)...when I was little I remember thinking "BREATHE DAD"...it's kinda scary.
I was very sceptical that a lack of proper sleep could actually contribute to or even cause chronic conditions such as pain and brain fog, memory problems and such...being fatigued, I understood. But a bit of research and you learn there are a multitude of syptoms and over 80 separate sleep disorders. Your body needs uniterupted deep sleep to repair itself.
I will meet with the neurologist in 2 weeks, after this last study is processed and he will write a prescription for the machine and a home health care agency comes and sets it up and trains you on use and care. Any thing for the RLS will be drugs but they say sometimes the cpap stops that as the movement is linked to your brain trying to get you to breathe.
Bummer is, if this actually works it will be fantastic...... However I can't help but be mad at all the many MRI's and CT scans and thousands of $$$ of blood work. Ruled out MS, Chiari malformation in the brain, neurological stuff like myasthenia gravis and scores of other diseases. Saw Gastro docs, 2 different neuros, infectious disease docs, etc, etc, and had more xrays, scans and tests than I can count since 2001.....And it may all come down to SLEEP!!!?? It couldn't be that simple! I feel like a kindergardener who failed "nap time".
I know it didn't cause the arthritis but it can make it so much worse. Maybe this straight A student can balance the checkbook again soon! Cindi
Sleep is so very vital. Do you know how many children are dx with adhd only to find out that they are not getting proper and enough sleep at night? I am so glad that you have gotten the help you need. Your life will be better for it.
