Small pouch of 'fluid?' on my left pelvic area

I have a left complex ovarian cyst, 3cm x 2cm.  I also have this pouch of fluid or something that seems to be increasing.  It is very apparent, it hangs over the top of my underpants.  any ideas as to what this might be?  I am a very small person my doctor did not seem to think this was a big deal, I am not sure.
