JULIE ANN STATES
SAN ANGELO, TX - Julie Ann States, 46, died on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 in San Angelo at Community hospital after a heroic battle with ovarian cancer.
Julie was born January 28, 1964 in San Diego, Calif. Julie became a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in San Angelo after obtaining her Master's degree from Florida State University. She loved Meteorology and her co-workers.
She is survived by her mother and step father, Fran and Bill Record, of Townville, SC and her twin sister, Theresa States, of Tampa, Florida.
Her family thanks Dr. Rahman and his staff for their kindness to Julie. They also thank her co-workers for their love, friendship, and help during this difficult time.
Instead of flowers Julie wanted memorials that would help people who couldn't afford travel, hotels, and food when they or their loved ones needed treatment. So please send memorial donations to: St. Jude's Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148 or call 1-800-822- 6344. Please give them Julie's Tribute #25779647.

Just launched a teal balloon on FB in her honor. Not nearly enough but I love seeing her name and letting people know she was someone special.

Julie was one of the women on this site who helped me through my diagnosis and surgery.  She was brave and compassionate.

Hope she's met our other angels by now and they're all floating on a cloud together watching over us.  RIP, Julie.

She fought so hard and was so strong.  Anyone on oxalipltin / Folfox that could continue to work any job and finish treatment is a hero to me.  She is the only reason I was able to stay on my regimen for so long.  I kept telling myself that Julie did it and I can too. She and I had so much in common with our type of ovca and our treatments.  She helped me to know how to ask for and get the treatmnent I needed to try.  I am thankful to have known her.  I wish peace and comfort for her family.  Marie
