Stage 2 ovarian cancer

Is there a chemotherapy treatment available which simply requires a shot to the abdomen once a week for 8 weeks, & is this aggresive (aggressive) enough for a stage 2 ovarian cancer where there is not a tumor?

I think you may be talking about IP chemotherapy.  It's not a shot, they put a cath. in your abdomen and infuse the chemo in there (and also cycle it out).  It's harsh threatment especially on your bowels...but it does have higher success (although most can't finish the entire 6 course IP regimen).

Heated IP chemo is even better but so few places do it which is a shame.

If it is I/P treatment you are referring to it is the most agressive chemo type for ovca. True, not many are able to take all of their treatment. By some miracle I was able to take all of mine on schedule. Drugs used for me were cisplatin and taxol in very high dose. I have stage 3b. If this the way you go, feel free to message me. It is rough, but I'll try to help you any way I can. Heated I/P is available in Chicago  and Oklahoma but I'm not sure where else. My meds were heated before they were infused, but not the same as alanpvegas was referring to. The high temp I/P is done in a surgical setting and I don't know of anyone that has had it done that way. Best wishes to you, Marie
