Sudden sharp pains

Sudden sharp pains

I will try to make this short. I have to go into the doctors for a biopsy tommarrow at 1:30. My ultrasound showed a 6 cent. cyst on my right ovarie and very thick lining in my uterous, causing my unusual constant spotting and discomfort.  Last night in the middle of the night I got two really sharp pains in the very lower right hand side. Then early this morning a few more. It comes and gos. Is this something I should worry about. Mostly the discomfort has been dull and just annoying. Really been a Tom boy all my life and know absolutly nothing about these things. Thanks in advance!

Hi there, cysts can cause intermittent pain like that.   I have been seeing my doc for cysts for about 2 years now.  They can be quite painful and if they burst....OUCH!  I always know when I have had a cyst burst.  The pain can double me over and always ends in a dull ache for a day or two.  I wonder if what you felt was your cyst bursting.   Even if it didn't burst, just laying a certain way, or shifting could cause some sharp pains.  6 cm cyst is pretty large... Hope the biopsy goes well and it is nothing serious.
