I had a dermoid tumor along with my ovary and fallopian tube removed via laparscopic surgery in 5 months ago. Since then I seem to get continuous urinary track infections that happen about one week after my period starts. I went to the doc today and he said that if this persists then come back and he'll send me to a Urologist b/c the nerves associated with my bladder muscles may have been damaged which prevents me from completely emptying my bladder. ???? This seems like a possibility as I use to be a power pee'er but not anymore... Anyone have any thoughts on this or similar experiences?
Yes, that is true, your bladder may not be bouncing back as it should. A good way to empty the bladder is to lean forward when you think you have stopped peeing. This helps the bladder push out what is left. This may help your bladder to also get back in shape. It has helped me after surgery. I hope you are feeling better.

I agree with Kasie. Drink, drink, drink. My Nutritionist says you need to take your weight, divide it in half, and that's the number of ounces of decaffeinated liquid you should have each day. Of course, most of it needs to be water, but 100% fruit juice, and decaffeinated tea and coffee are okay, too. All that liquid will sure get your bladder working!
Hope you find some relief. Those things are just nasty!

That's a good one too. As good as "slug-clot".
