Surgery tomorrow

Surgery tomorrow

I'm having laproscopic surgery tomorrow morning at 10:00 AM. I just wanted to ask you all to keep me in your prayers. They are removing a 6 cm cyst and hopefully that is all. (I had a 13 cm tumor and RSO removed due to immature teratoma in Oct. 2005, for those that may not have read or remember my prior posts)I am 28 years old and tumor markers and everything look good. I am hoping to rejoin the 99% in saying that it's not cancer this time. The last surgery I had was a laparotomy so I know that this one will be a lot different; hopefully a lot easier. If you have any advice for me, I would appreciate it. Thanks so much. You all have been so kind and I have received some great help from you wonderful ladies (well, mostly ladies) in the past.

P.S. For those of you that read my posts about my mother-in-law, we are getting along fine right now so thank you for your advice.....

You are in my prayers and all my fingers are crossed for you.  This will be fine.  If they truely suspected that it was anything more serious, wouldn't they perform a different surgery.  You will be in 99%, I can feel it.  Your cancer markers ARE normal, so good sign, surgery is less invasive, good sign. Not like before with full out opening surgery and removal of suspect area in tact, good sign, no abdominal washings, acities, etc..., good sign.  All the signs are good!  Good luck and wishing you a speedy recovery.  I'm looking forward to hearing the GOOD NEWS the next time you post.  Go into it with the positives and trust the signs.

Take Care and God Bless,
Bob

I just had surgery last Tuesday to remove a 5cm cyst and 2cm cyst that were complex.  I am still waiting for biopsy reports and follow visit.  However, I have been through several Laps and they are relatively easy compared to open incisions.  I wish you the best of luck, and my prayers are with you.
