Survery Ques: Cysts

Hi All,
I've noticed lots of comments about these other diagnosis's, and it has me wondering...

How many woman were diagnosed with FM or CFS or an Automimmune condition (seems like thryoid happens a lot) and it was a valid diagnosis, and the cysts were just incidental to that?

How many woman were diagnosed with one of those or sometime else, but it was just a cover up for what was really going on with the cyst?

And third possiblity...has anyone not been diagnosed with something else, and gone straight to cysts?

I'd love to hear the stories.

Mine is that I got CFS post-virally 9 years ago and that's clearly what it is.  The cysts were found incidentally since I had no symptoms from them (well since it's out - I can tell there were a few subclinical symptoms beginning to develop, so good riddance.)

Thanks,
Cheri

Well, that's not the title I gave the posting!
It was something like:

I was diagnosed with FM 12 years ago.  Although I don't think that is directly related to the 16.5cm cyst I had removed last month, I do think the whole autoimmune thing has something to do with our body's inability to fight off certain diseases and cancers.

I know this sounds weird, but I believe I worked in a building that had 'sick building syndrome'.  We had about 200 people working in the building and have had about 10 people with cancer of varying forms.  4 that I know of died of brain, breast, ovarian cancers.  Also about another 8 or 10 with autoimmune disease.  I had FM, a few had CFS, my boss had Gullain Barre Syndrome and is now confined to a wheelchair, another very good friend has Lupus and a young woman (21) had MS.  All of this during the 6 years I worked there.    We tried to get an investigation going but it would have taken too much money and there was some kind of statute of limitations thing.

Wow!  I don't know what else to say.  Certainly sounds like something was going on there.

Alot of women here have been dx with autoimmune diseases and then have had ovarian cysts.  We seem to think that there is a correlation between the two.

Hi!
One of the things I'm wondering, is for people diagnosed, has it sometimes turned out to be mistaking the symptoms of cysts as autoimmune symptoms?

Also wondering, for those with FM,CFS,autoimmune if you've found treatment that's helped/or what's your favorite treatment.

Just seems to be a very common combination, and I've been struggling with my CFS (can't work) so I thought hearing from other people on the combo might make me feel better about it.

Anyway, thanks for your input...

This is a super duper question. I was diagnosed with FM and CFS when i was 17 I am now 28.  This all started after highschool, the symptoms of it of course.  I also have always had painful periods since puberty.  I am chronically sick.  I really do believe that this will end all of this and I will keep everyone updated
