Swollen lymph glands in groin. ..surgery 11/21... should I be concerned?

by blwms, Dec 21, 2006 12:00AM
I had surgery on 11/21 and today I noticed one of the lymph nodes in my groin is swollen (the same side the ovary was removed). I'm not experiencing any pain or a fever.  Should I be concerned? I guess I'm concerned it could be related to the surgery!

Hi blwms... Go and have it checked out, I think. I also have a swollen lymph gland in my left groin, and I recently had it tested and it's cancerous.... so go and see to it. There is every possibility is could be just to do with your operation, but it's best to know...early. I've had Ovca for almost 3 years, so it's no surprise for me to find that my swollen gland is cancerous, but yours probably isn't.
Wishing you all the best, and hope your news is good news.
Best wishes...Helmar.

I'm thinking if you just had surgery its most likely that, or a slight infection, just because one person had cancer from a swollen gland doesn't mean you do. and you just had it removed so stay positive.
