Symptoms led me to this website.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if they have experienced the symptoms I am having. For the last three  months or more I have felt extremely fatigued to the point of not being able to deal with the tasks of daily life. I have noticed I have no sex drive and have bled the last few times after intercourse. My periods have become abnormal and heavier than they used to be. I feel flu like symptoms nearly everyday, with aches in my joints. I have noticed a change in bowels movements and have very frequent urination but alot of the time dont go hardly at all. I do not have an appetite anymore and even when I do feel a bit hungry, I cant eat hardly anything. I feel nasuous mostly everyday. I have also noticed a pressure around my ovaries that is so uncomfortable that it keeps me from sleeping alot of nights. I am tired of not feeling well and will admit, I have yet to see a dr because i keep thinking these symptoms will go away. I am making an appointment this week but would find great comfort in some advice or whatever you might have to say!

Yes, I have alot of the same symptoms that you have and sometimes I think that I am going crazy.  I had been seeing my doctor for quite some time now.  Everytime a new symptom comes up, I go to see her.  I have not had any luck with a definite diagnosis.  It was not until this last week or so that I found the info on ovarian cancer that I believe that this is my whole problem.  I can't be sure but all the symptoms that I have, point to this.  I have had frequent urination, and have been bleeding after intercourse. My last two periods were very early and very heavy.  I have alot of back pain and now I have hip pain on the right side.  Mostly everyday, especially in the evenings, I have the chills and by bedtime, I am nauseated.  I have gained weight and not lost.  Despite no changes in my eating habits.  However, when I do eat, I feel so full and it takes a long time for my food to digest.  Do you have any problems with you digestion?

Thanks so much for responding. I actually just made my dr appointment for thursday, so maybe I can shed some light on these symptoms after I go. You asked if I had digestive problems. What I feel is just that feeling of being full all the time. When everyone else is eating their normal meals I am nibbling and that is all I can do. It is very frustrating for me because not only can I not eat, but I am not loosing weight, but feel bloated on top of it. I am amazed at the number of people I see with these symptoms and their doctors cant seem to tell them what is wrong. I fear that is what will happen to me and I will have to continue to feel this way. I have six children to take care of and I definatly need to bounce back so I can continue to care for them. It is kind of a scary situation all around. How long have you had these symptoms? and are the getting worse or staying the same?

I started having the digestive symptoms almost two years ago and had alot of tests.  Nothing ever came up.
The pain in the abdomin (abdomen) and bloating just over the last few months.  Everything else just came about in the last week or so.  Nothing has changed, only that is more to add to list of symptoms.
The worst thing for me is the pain on my right side which has gone down into my hip.

Wow, Kerri....I have the exact same symptoms, down to the exhausting, numbing fatigue that makes getting through the day a major chore.
I've had stomach/nausea problems for three years now and every test imagineable but no diagnosis other than Irritable Bowel Syndrome.  I've gone through three internal sonograms in the last six months due to irregular bleeding.  They found cysts then said the cysts were gone.
I'm now SO BLOATED and huge it's disgusting. And diarrhea every day, 8-10 times a day.  And I'm barely eating anything because I have no appetite and when I do have a few bites of something, I feel like I've eaten a full meal.
To try to control all this, I went on a progestin birth control pill four weeks ago.  I've been bleeding for two weeks straight now, and not just "spotting".
I called the dr.'s office and I'm going in tomorrow for some bloodwork.  I hope they finally look at the CA125 levels, but know that won't tell anything conclusive, either.
I am just miserable!
I hope you all get some answers!

I am, in some way, comforted to see I am not crazy, or maybe I was beginning to think I was becoming a hypocondriac. I do believe there is something behind all this and am in amazement that no one seems to be getting any answers from their doctors. I hope when I go in to the doctor that I can get some kind of concrete answer on what is wrong. I would hate to continue life like this! It is very trying on me and my family. I am thankful to everyone who has taken the time to respond and I will definatly post the diagnosis (if any) that I get from my doctor and maybe it will help someone else out there too. I feel for everyone going through this. My dr appontment had to be moved up to this coming monday because I have a sick child, but I will definatly post something after I go. Take care!

Hi There!

As I have read some of your questions and comments--I realized that I had some of the same symptoms you have mentioned.  I too had bloating, indigestion, stomach cramps, pain in the lower back and down the back of my legs. I had terrible weight gain, nausea and vomiting as well as frequent urination.  All these symptoms scared me.  After my surgery my gyn explained to me that all of these same symptoms was related to my ovarian problem--that turned out not to be malignant.  I am so thankful and blessed that I want to relate that news to some of you that are so scared.  There are other female problems with the same ovarian cancer symptoms that are not cancerous.  There may be another problem that needs attention and even surgery--so do what you gyn suggests.  I had a lot of faith in my gyn and believed in his prognosis for me.  SO try to not get too upset until you know for sure--after surgery!!  ok?  Thanks  Sharon
