Symptoms

Hi, I am 51 year old, history of cancer in family (Mother-Leukemia, aunt's-ovarian, daughter-bone). I have been experiencing hip pain since 1994. An x-ray in 94 showed a 1.5 cm mass, saying it could possibly be dermoid. My dr. didn't inform me of the results of the x-ray, but advised me to go to gynec. which I did, pap smears normal. My hip pain has been getting worse, along with pelvic pain, frequent urination, uti. Last x-ray in dec. 03 showed same spot now 2 cm. x-ray report states most likely a fibroid. My question is, is it possible this could have been something else other than a fibroid, is x-ray a good diagnostic tool? The odd thing, when I went to my dr. yesterday, he initially said he was discharging me as a patient, that I had been non-compliant in not returning when I was supposed to. I have been going to this dr for over 10 years and have never been accused of this before. The last time I went I was not given a return appointment, tried to explain but he seemed determined.
