Taxol Only

Anyone been on Taxol only?  My mom has done the 6 rounds carbo/taxol, doxil, gemzar, avastin, avastin with chemo pill, and her current ca 125 is over 1800.  So she started Taxol today, three weeks on, one week off.  The Avastin had very little side effects, except not working.  What can she expect on the Taxol?  Thanks for any input you may have.  I feel like we are coming to the end of the tools in the tool box.  I'm pretty sad.

Sorry I haven't but hope you will report back on how your Mom does on it.  I've had little response from carbo taxol too (as well as showing allergic reactions to carbo now) but have also had weekly taxol suggested.   I'm sort of hesitant as Taxol on the three week schedule knocked me flat so would be interested to hear if it is as bad on the weekly regime.

I was on weekly taxol for 24 weeks after my initial treatment, low dose, 40mgs/m2 for maintenance. It was easy, hair grew, etc. I felt tired but everything went okay. Some take a larger dose and that might be harder but it felt okay to me. It was to attempt to prolong remission.

I did weekly taxol for 16 months! I had some fatigue but continued to work full time and lead a normal life. I hope this works well for your mother. Please keep us posted.
