Teal ribbon pins

by westajul, Aug 10, 2009 09:45AM
Hello,
With September being OVCA awareness month, I wanted to buy teal ribbon pins for my family and friends. I was wondering if anyone knows of a site where the proceeds from the sale of these pins benefits ovca  research or other ovca patients. thanks.

I just typed in ribbons for causes and several sites came up. I remember looking for a place like that before because I saw a ribbon I didn't recognize. Perhaps there is a place where the sales go to benefit OvCa research. Surely, there must be.

Found a number of sites. Just type in teal ribbon pins & you'll get lots of choices.

I use Choose Hope.  The proceeds go for all cancer, not just Ovarian, however.  But I have always gotten good service from them.

Not sure if i can help but my organisations are in australia. i just rang up and got merchandise sent out ( some for awareness ) and another org specifically for research then  you send back what you dont sell. I'm sure you would have somethin similar!

Also if anyone wants to look at my new handmade jewellery business i have started i am donating to ovarian cancer on each item sold!- just send me your email and ill send you a link to my facebook page and pictures :)

Also any other ideas/ stories etc to share about awareness/ funding you are doing? Myself and two other ladies (now both survivours ) aim to raise $1 million dollars(yes big ask but im going to do it!)  in September through TV, auctions, raffles, t-shirts and merchandise. ? just wanted some ideas.. ... anyone got in touch with someone high profile to help?

I need ideas! ideas! ideas!

Thanks..for the suggestions. I did buy some bracelets from choose hope as they mentioned they recently made a donation to MD Anderson and I positive that my doctor at MD Anderson saved my life by not treating me like a statistic.
