Hi just an update from visiting my gynocolagist he reccomended I go on medication of Mefenamic Acid and Tranexamic Acid till I was 45 for the enlarged uterus and adenomyosis and do they hysterectomy then
but with the history of family ovarian cancer and gene mutation he is going to do the hysterectomy May 3rd this will reduce my chances of getting cancer by 80% which I didnt understand I assumed once everything was taken away womb ovaries etc then the risk of cancer would be take away too

He said I will be on HRT till I was at least 52 (now 39) and stressed how improtant it was to take the medication

the Tranexamic acid and Mefenamic acid he has given me for my next 3 periods before I have my hysterectomy

I go to see the specialist at the Institue of Human Genetics  march 6th and they will tell me what my future holds and my 2 daughters

thanks for all your replies to my posts

I hope you all get the news you are looking for and recover quickly

thanks ann :-)

Unfortunately, it is still possible to develop ovca after the complete hysterectomy.  It is  then usually called Primary Peritoneal Cancer, and typically develops on the omentum.

Fortunately, the medical specialists learn more about this condition every year, and as a result the doctors can provide some assistance in warding off the disease, such as surgery with the medications that your doctor is prescribing.  Things may be even brighter for your daughters.

You, and your daughters, have my prayers.
