I know my doctor wants to put me on the pill to stop ovulation. I am 35 years old and have NEVER taken birth controlControl Control rx pills. I am afraid of blood clots due to my age.
I am sorry for rambling. I don't even know if I am asking a question or not:-)
The risk of blood clots is relatively low, even at 35, UNLESS you smoke.
I'm 41 years old and taking a low-dose birth control pill due to possible endometriosis/elevated CA-125. My doctor is 43, and she says she takes them as well. The pill I'm on is Loestrin FE.
Of course, discuss your concerns with your doctor. Some OB/Gyn's regularly monitor their patients' blood pressure while they're on the pill if there is a concern about blood clots/stroke.

Hope this helps!
Can you tell a difference now that you are on the pill? Has it made your endo better? Do you feel better in general on The Pill?
I do not smoke, so hopefully I will be ok.
