Tips to aleviate FATIGUE?

Hi everyone...does anyone have suggestions on how to improve symptoms of fatigue?  I'm sure my mom's fatigue is not only related to chemo but other factors...wondering if anyone has found success in any supplements, diet, etc, etc.

Alan, I have used NativeRemedys for years for various things, they have a fatigue fighter that sounds good. My grandson was dx with ADHD 2 years ago, school wanted to put him on Retilin, we refused and got 2 natural products from them and now he is getting straight A's.  I take their product for Diabetus2  and was able to stop my perscription, doctor approved that for me, my blood sugars run normal all the time now. You can read what every thing they have contains, on their web site.  I use the energy booster when ever I need a little extra spark.  Hope your mother is doing better at home than at the hospital.  Good Luck

Your poor Mommy, she must be just pooped...No remedy for fatibue except to take catnaps.  Would get slightly fatigued for 2-3 days after chemo, then perk up for 10days then crash for 2-3 more days just in time for another round of chemo.  Think my vitamins helped me deal with it (multi/vitamin c & e/calcium and fishoil) and lots of water.

Hi Alan,   I find doing wee things helps me and if I get tired, which is fairly often, I sit back and dream, plan garden, paintings, music etc and when I can I do the things I dream about.   It took a long time for me to accept I will never be able to do the things I once did but now I accept this fact things are much easier - your Mum is lucky she has your support and that will be great for her.   I cannot do certain things now not because of the cancer but I'm too old which is a bloody pest to say the least.   I would suggest you persuade your Mum to walk as much as she can because once you stop it takes a long time to gert muscles back into action - I was in bed for the better part of last year and am only now able to go for walks and even that is only about a mile.   Hopefully the summer will help her as will the other advice you have been offered.   Rest when required and get up and go when you can is my mantra.

Hi Alan... plenty of rest...plenty of fluids and don't stress. If your Mum's appetite is good, then that's a bonus too. The fatigue will go....just takes time.
Hope she is doing well apart from the fatigue though.... Helmar...

I was the same as the other ladies and slept and rested when my body required it and ate as healthy as I could.  Some are helped by supplements.  The most important thing to know about supplements is to talk to your dr. so that the chemo you are on is compatible with the supplements.  Vitamins were recommended with my chemo, but when I asked the Dr. he said no, because they would work against other drugs I was on and no changes could be made.  Just my $.02.
