Title: 12cm Fibroid/6 cm Cyst /endometriosis with iliac vein intermittent ureter blockage.

I am a 45yo woman, we've been trying to get pregnant for the past 6 years, 6 inseminations and 4 IVF cycles - all failed.
Now, I have intermittent leg swelling, kidney / ureter compression and the uterine fibroid 12cm and 2 ovarian cysts 6 cm. and stage 4 endometriosis.  Is it advisable to have surgery to remove only the fibroid / cysts and endometriosis or remove everything (hysterectomy).  The Dr.s advise that surgery to remove only the fibroid /cysts will cause excessive bleeding and they can re-occur.  Is there a chance that we can naturally conceive or the chance is almost nil at my age or the rist too high?  I've had the CA125 blood test and waiting for results.
What should I do?  Is there a chance that cancer can occur if left as is?

I actually had no infertility problems I had no problem getting pregnant. I had severe pain in my abdomin up my back down my leg. I have been to the emergency room several times. The pain pretty much followed my cycle but then it just seemed to happen all month. Maybe I would have a week free of pain. The pain was always on my left side. That is were the mass was. It was behind my left ovary. Hope that helps :)

I wanted to ask if you had any symptoms other than infertility with your endo? I'm still in the discovery phase (trying to figure out what is wrong with me). So any insight into your symptoms is appreciated! Thanks so much! I have all of my symptoms listed on Worried about continuing illness and doctor ordered CT Scan threads, so I won't repeat them here.

If you have endometreosis stage 4 you need and endometreosis specialist. I had stage 3 endo. where do you live? If you really want to get pregnant I have a great Dr. he is in NYC. I have 1 child and want another but my problem was severe pain. I had endo and adenomyosis and there was no way I was having a hysterectomy. I have had 2 past surgeries and the pain still came back. My pain was on my left side it would shoot down my leg and around my back. I also had pain up my rectum and i always had to urinate. My endo was around my rectum and bladder and I had an adeno mass in my uterus. I had my surgery in 2/07 and I feel great. We are going to try to have a baby this summer. This Dr excises the endo which means he cuts it out. Lasers do not work. If you want to contact me e-mail me ***@**** put as a subject endometreosis. Good luck
