Hey Maryboo....had my visit with my ob/gyn to look into my cyst.  She felt it and it did not feel enlarged and everything looked normal.  She did not feel that my pain was related to that.  That is a relief.  I go back in 3 months for another checkup.

Let me know how it goes....I am so glad to hear that you are feeling better.  Cancer is an ugly thing.  I am watching my mother deal with it.  She has 2nd stage breast cancer and she is finished with her treatments.  She is doing well.  I will pray for you and I am thinking of you...Good luck!

Is the pain your having on your left side like someone taking a red hot poker and stabbing you with it over and over?  If so this may be ovarian cysts that keep bursting.  This had happened to me over and over again for the past three years. (I just last Sunday turned 40).  They talked about doing a hysterectomy but waited for another episode to happen to see if they were strictly left side cysts or both. The pain has been left side but my gyn doc says it could be on other side but cause pain on opposite side.  The reason they were unsure was because I was just as tender on right side as left side when he did exam.  Had a vaginal ultrasound done, they could tell I had had another cyst burst but couldn't determine where it was because when we called the next day to see Dr. the receptionist made appt for a week later.  I continued to get them and about 5 months ago, I went to see him, they found one in both ovaries which is what they were trying to determine.  Three weeks later, he did a histeroscopy, Laproscopy and D&C all at same time.  He wanted to see if there was something else wrong before doing a hysterectomy. He found another cyst on the outside of my left ovary (this is how often I get them)He removed it and mega scar tissue. There wasn't a organ that wasn't attached to others by scar tissue. Luckely the cyst was benign!  I went back to him, for follow up.  He is not ruling out histerectomy but wants to give my body time to heal from the trauma of all the scar tissue removed.  I still get those stabbing red hot poker pains but they are now more centrally located toward the ovary and not as much all up my left side.  I have three children and am ready to just have everything taken out. Doc, what so you suggest?
