Today's Humorous "Visual"

As you all know, I have one UTI after another. I think that after I had my hysterectomy I replaced my period with a UTI. (LOL)  Anyway, yesterday my husband was not feeling all that well. About 3 in the afternoon I heard this blood curdling yelp from the bathroom, ran in, and found my hubby doubled over in pain because he "could not pee". After I calmly told him that I thought it sounded like a UTI and explained that it was not life threatening for God's sake, he begged me for some relief.   Now I know this is not funny, and I love this man more than life itself, but would you believe I had to actually drive him to the ER! (role reversal)  Once I knew that it actually was a UTI (and Lord knows I don't minimize those), I had all I could do to hold it together and not burst out laughing. After he was "examined" and "catherized" (all the while proclaiming reverence to those of us who have given birth), he turns to me and says, "Well, what do you think of all this?"  My answer?......."Welcome to my world." He's doing fine now, so I feel okay in sharing one of those "Kodak Moments" with my Cysters......aren't men amazing??? Have a good one...Judie :)

It sounds like we are married to the same man!!!!!!! That was funny. I am glad he is okay, though. Marie

Thanks Judie, I got a big smile out of that visual.  That is why they say if men shared the joys of childbirth, there would be 2 children in each family. His first and then hers and then NO MORE.  Standing in many delivery rooms in my time, I had many occasions to watch fathers during deliveries.  From the ones that "swore off sex for life"  to the ones that said  "well that wasn't too bad, was it?"  The "trained" ones that forgot all the training to the ones that "passed out" in the corner.  Most men are just "wimps"  when the "pain" strikes them.  Ask any Nurse , who the worst patients are, outside of doctors, men come in a close second.  Who are the bravest,  the children.  Marty
