This is totally off the topic but I think I will find the answer here or at least reassurance that I am not going nuts. Here goes when is the general age of menarche. My 9 year old daughter has acted like she has a major case of pms. She is whiny grouchy bitchy and sucking her thumb like theres no tomarrow. I thought her attitude would change today when everything went the way it should she had a good day @ school made student of the month but no we are back home and we are back at square one with the whining and constant complaining. Thanx guys. I thought it was just me. She is gone for the weekend. I told all my kids that I love them all dearly but they really gotta go this weekend. Hopefully when they get back from grammas we can once again enjoy each other as absence makes the heart grow fonder.

I started everything early Breasts at 8 1/2 and period at 10 years of age I am now going on 32. I'm just happy the breasts stopped growing before they reached my navel.

I actually started when I was 10 and I'm 30 now so it can start at a early age.

My friend at work told me that her doctor told her that the average age now for a girl to start her period is between 9 and 11.  Good luck.  Kasie
