Hi There,

The embryology of the female tract is very interesting. The upper two thirds of the vagina, the cervix, uterus, and fallopian tubes are formed when to tubes called mullerian ducts come together in the midline of the embryo. the tubes fuse together to form the vagina, cervix and uterus. The fallopian tubes are the only part of the mullerian ducts that do not fuse.
After fusion, the mullerian duct hollow out to form the single uterus, cervix and vagina with its single cavity. fusion defects can happen. Women can experience a wide variety of  fusion abnormalities ranging from complete duplication of the vagina, cervix and uterus to the more common uterine septum inside the uterus.

Birth control is not different - condoms, oral contraceptive pill, depoprovera are all fine
An IUD may not be a good idea. A diaphragm should not be a problem and it can cover two cervices unless there is a septum in the vagina.
take care
