Update on butterflytc

Hi, butterfly has asked that i come in and fill you in on what has been going on. She tried to make an open journal but it is not showing up. If you can get to het profile, you should be able to read it. she has had a lot of problems with her profile since she decided to take a break, so in case you cannot get there I will fill you in.
  She had her last GI test and they have decided to go in and do a double intestional bypass surgey with a possible colestomy. They will not know until they get tn there. But she is unable to eat or drink and they are worried about her starving to death. Her surgery is scheduled for Oct 14 which is next week. I will be going up there the day that she gets home as someone will need to be there with her. Shamus (her boyfriend) will be there but he has been so terribly worried and they have both decided that they would feel better if I was there with her. So the day she comes home, I will be heading to Chicago.
I will be making sure that this is ok with my Dr and I need to make sure this awful cold that I have is gone by then.
Please say a prayer for her that things will be just fine.

Thanks for the update Chris, I have been wondering how Butterfly was doing . That will be nice to be there for both her and Shamus when she returns home from the hospital. I hope you get rid of that rotten cold soon , I will be saying prayers for you all.

I got a call this evening from the little "chick" with eyelashes, I so enjoyed hearing the excitement in her voice! She told me about all the wonderful messages, and I had to come online tonight to say WOW...I am amazed. Seamus was here and we read them together, of course I cried. To read all your kind and loving words has left me wondering, how I got so lucky, to have friends like all of you in my life. So many of us are going thru so much of late, and yet you are still right there to support me. You're amazing. I wish I could sit here long enough, to write messages to each of you. Please know you are in my heart, I feel happiness for those on an even keel at the moment, bad for those going thru a hard time too, and saddened by the loss you have experienced so recently Marty, yet you still find the time to be here for me. From the bottom of my heart I say thank you each and every one of you. I will go into my surgery tuesday morning knowing I have a huge circle of women praying for me.

Dear TC,

I promise you that I have not forgotten one word of our conversation.  I had Cory listening the whole hour to make sure I didn't miss something.  I will not let this dirty little secret of ovca go without a voice no matter the outcome of your surgery, which of course is going to be wonderful.  Oh, that first salad is going to taste so good!!!  Now that I think about it, do you really think your first meal should be tons of roughage?  LOL  How about some nice cream of wheat?  You are so determined and so tough I just know you will be fine.  Long surgery, long recovery, but it will all be worth it when you can go out to eat with us at next year's 2nd Annual CyberParty get together!!!!  
We will get on this soapbox together when you feel better, but in the meantime I am doing what I can.  We can no longer afford to be victimized by insurance company's and incompetent oncologists.  We can no longer afford to be lemmings. You are lucky to have an onc that is pushing for YOU, his patient, and that is what all of them should be doing.  See I have already started!!!

I love butterflies.  They come around every year to my butterfly bushes and each year they tell their friends, and they come too, kind of like this forum. All of them are so beautiful, just like the people here on this forum.  Each year they grow and nuture themselves on the bushes, just like this forum. So, I know that with the care of your doctors and your friends you'll come through this just fine to come back to the butterly bushes and nuture yourself with your friends.
