Update on me...

I haven't posted in a while, hope you ladies remember me. So I WAS on the bcp seasonale for 2 months straight. I started my period (not breakthrough bleeding)while on the pill. Talk about pain! I thought it was crazy because even though I started I kept taking the pill EVERYDAY as usual. It didn't help if anything my pain felt worse and I bled more :( It hurt to urinate, pass a bowel and it felt like I was never empty.

So I saw my doc about 8 days ago, I had been bleeding for about 11 days. I was scheduled for a US but she decided NOT to do one! GREAT! If anything she could have seen what was going on in there when I am on my period so she can see I REALLY am in pain.

All she did was tell me to stop taking SEASONALE for 5 days and then she perscribed me YASMIN to take on the 5th day, a different bcp, really good for helping with my testosterone levels. I of course was emotional and in severe pain as usual so I started crying, not on purpose it just happened. I told her I didn't want to live like this anymore and she wouldn't even look at me, she just looked down then left the room without saying anything and came back after a couple minutes with bcp samples!

So she told me my pain wasn't caused by anything like cysts, huge blood clots or endometriosis. She said its IBS and I must  take metamucil 2x a day. I have bowel pain only when on my menses! Why must she dismiss my problems and call it Irritable Bowel Syndrome? I have heard of sooo many women with pain that are misdiagnosed IBS because in my opinion docs are lazy.

Thank you! I do indeed need a new doc. My friend who has recently had her right ovary and fallopian tube removed, is giving me a number to an internal specialist here in town. She also has no problem perscribing painkillers when in pain. YAY! So I will have to make an appointment, don't believe I need a refferal or anything. In the mean time I am taking the stupid bcp my incompetant doc gave me. I have read all about IBS and it just doesn't sound like I have it! I already told her that! I am just worried that my condition will get worse and worse, and no one will help me. Also the fact that my mom had severe endo scares me too! My mom went through that pain for 30+ years. She was told nothing was wrong with her! They only found it when they did her histerectomy in 2003. From what I heard it was all over her bowels. When they did the hysteretomy and removed the endo from her rectum they messed up a nerve and she still has pain from it. It just scares me. For the past 3 years I have looked like I am about 6-7 mo pregnant everyday. I have never been tested for cancer or anything, would that be a good idea? Thanks for all the help, love you guys!

I AGREE FIND A DIFFERENT DOC, MY GYNE OUTRIGHT LIED TO ME TOLD ME MY US WAS FINE AND THEN GAVE ME A SHOT OF DEPROVERA (HORRIBLE STUFF)SAID IT WOULD STOP THE PAIN AND FORCE ME INTO MENAPAUSE WHICH I AM GOING THROUGH ALREADY. PAIN IS WORSE. PLEASE DON'T EVER TAKE THIS STUFF. BROUGHT A COPY OF MY US TO MY PRIMARY SHE COULDNT BELIVE HE TOLD ME MY US WAS OK MY ENDROMETRIAL STIPE IS ENLARGED TO 1.3CM AT MY AGE "44" ANYTHING OVER 8MM IS A MAJOR SIGN OF ENDOMETRIAL CANCER! PLUS SEVERAL CYSTS AND A MASS ON MY RIGHT OVARY. I'M STILL IN SHOCK! MY SISTER DIED OF OVARIAN CANCER HOW COULD HE SAY MY US WAS FINE!  UNBELIEVEABLE! MY PRIMARY DOC RECOMENDED ANOTHER GYNE FOR A SECOND OPINION, A FEMALE THIS TIME, I GO ON MONDAY.  WE WILL SEE, IF SHE IS ANY GOOD HOPE IT'S NOT YOUR DOC. LOL BUT YOU ALSO NEED TO FIND A NEW DOC DON'T SUFFER ANYMORE THAN YOU HAVE TO I HAVE BEEN GOING THROUGH THIS PAIN FOR TO LONG MYSELF. MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU.

Dump her and get another dr!!!  Enought is enough.  You deserve proper care and not the brush off.  What is wrong with her??

I think it is simple and quite obvious...YOU NEED A DIFFERENT DOCTOR...people like that should not be practicing medicine...she is obviously incompetent...please find a different doctor..don't do this to yourself any longer.
