Update with more questions--please give me your opinion

by Thuney, Jun 05, 2006 12:00AM
I'm not sure where I left off, but I am hoping someone can tell me what their best guess is.  I finally went to the ER on Tuesday.  Doctor there did bloodwork, urine sample and CT scan (w/o dye).  He said I still have blook in my urine, an elevated white count for infection, ad have WCC in my urine as well, indicating they rushed there to help fight infection.  In the CT (without dye), he was looking for kidney stones, but couldn't see any.  He did say, however, that it did not show any "masses" that they could see.  He gave me another antibiotic and recommended I follow up with GP to get colonoscopy and CT with dye.

So, I was feeling more relieved--and the back pain started to recede finally on the new antibiotics.

The problem is two things (1) there is more pain/pulling feeling in my left groin area which is increasing and (2) my BMs are just totally messed up.  If I eat an apple, I have to go.  If I eat an egg, I have to go.  And after I go, I still feel like I have to go.

I am sorry to be a pain, but do any of you have any ideas on this????

Thanks, Linda!  I have been trying to drink more water and juices.  I am not sure what the culture from the ER came back saying.  I will have to call my GP and make sure he gets that.

Thanks again.  I was reading another post and the poster mentioned diveritculitis so I looked it up.  I think this is another possiblity.  Trouble is all these symptoms mimic so many different things!
