W.A.R. (WHOLE ABDOMINAL RADIATION)...OVCA.

To all... is there anyone on this site who has had/ or knows anyone who has had, Whole Abdominal Radiation for ovarian cancer? It could be an option for me, so any info would be greatly appreciated. Hope you are all doing well.

Thankyou for your response. I'm not sure if abdominal radiation is a very common way of dealing with "the beast", but I think we are all willing to try anything, especially if the chemo can't finish it off. At the present time, this is only a suggestion, so I thought it would be an idea to see if I could get some more info. It always good to know a little about these things when seeing the Docs.

I do know of a woman on another board that had radiation for a recurrence of OvCa.  She went to MD Anderson for and it was their recommendation.  She is now in remission.  I do not know if it was W.A.R. as you describe.
