ANY IDEAS OF WHAT IT COULD BE, MY GYN DID A PELVIC EXAM THAT DAY AND SHE FOUND NOTHING,BUT THAT I WAS BLEEDING AND SHE DID A PAP AND IT WAS NORMAL, MY PERIODS HAVE BEEN VERY STRANGE FOR 3 MONTHS HELP!
JUST WANTED TO ADD TO MY ORIGINAL FORUM, I HAVE HAD STOMACH PAIN OFF AND ON FOR THE PAST 2 WEEKS, AND I FEEL BLOATED NOW AND MY APPETITE IS SOMEWHAT BETTER AND I GAINED 5 LBS IN 3 DAYS! I SEEMED TO HAVE ALOT OF OVARIAN CANCER SYMPTOMS, NOT SURE WHAT TO DO NEXT! THANKYOU
The good sign is the CA125 I was told by my doctor that is presents false positives more often than the opposite it is not always accurate if yours is normal than that is good but not always the whole story. I had a 10 cm ovarian mass removed along with an ovary and it was malignant my CA-125 normal but I still did not actually have an ovarian cancer diagnosis just a tumor that was malignant with no spread. Your symptoms are very troubling, they should at the least send you to a Doc that can better investigate for you if it is not Ovarian in origin. I would be demanding, I was and that is how I got results. You have severe symptoms and need to figure it out. My only ultrasound revealed the mass and it was solid, it got bigger by the time of surgery. I called the dr almost every day until the situation was resolved and my surgery was scheduled, do what you need to so you can ease you mind and get your health back. I was pushed aside b/c I'm young but it turned out I had a serious problem, keep calling and if necessary call another Dr., the insurance is important but not as important as your health. There are three gyn/oncologists in my area none take my insurance I am going anyway:) Best Wishes and Take Care
Why hasn't your gyn opted to do laproscopic surgery? Maybe you should go directly to a gyn oncologist... Very scary to lose that much weight in a short amount of time. Good luck
PS. Try the hystersisters website, I have found both this site & that one to be great, with alot of women just like ourselves.
Keep on them until they find something. My wife had allot of your same symptoms, bloating, weight change, pain and just not feeling right. She had her gal bladder out in March 2004. She never did feel 100% after that. In April 2005 she was in allot of pain on her left side. She went to the doctor/ER 8 times in 4 weeks. On May 24th they decided she really needed to be looked at further. They did a Hysterectomy on May 29th. They found she had Stage IV, grade 3 Ovarian Cancer. She lived 10 more weeks, getting worse by the day, mostly at the hospital; she just turned 38 in July.
thankyou for everyone that responded, you were very helpful, lately i have felt better, can you feel bad one day and feel okay the next if you have ovarian cancer? i am so confused because one doctor wanted to do a total hysterectomy and i go to a gyn oncologist and she tells me that it is not female related, ( my weight loss and no appetite and just feeling like ****) she told me it was gi related, and the gi doctor tells me its female related, i went back to the original surgeon that removed my gallbladder and i begged him to do a laparscopy but he said with this day and age of technology with all of these fancy tests that exploratory surgery was pretty much obsolete, i pretty much walked out of his office, they seemed to make you feel like a hypochondriac, i hate to whine so i have just been trying to hang in there, again thankyou all who have responded karin
