Good morning, everybody.  Well, tomorrow is the day.  I actually can't wait.  I know some of you have been waiting much longer than I have.  I just want an answer.  I have been trying to keep positive and have sooooooo many family members and friends behind me.  I can't believe the support I am getting.  It shows you when you really need people, they are there for you, just like all of you.

Again, I am really new to all this and have been more than overwhelmed with terminology, etc.  You have all helped me a lot and I truly appreciate it.

I will give you surgery updates as soon as possible.  Hope to be home in a few days, maybe Saturday or Sunday.

Love you all and God bless.  Thank you again so much for all your support.

Good morning,
So sorry to hear about all the troubles and sorrow your family has gone through over the years.  This is a very scary time.  At least we all have each other and know what the feeling is like.  I agree.  This forum is great and everybody is so kind and SOOOOO knowledgeable.  I am still trying to just keep up with the terminology, acronyms, etc. (lol).

I will be thinking of you tomorrow.  I find out today as you probably will when I go in.  I am just praying for the best.

We will both talk to each other again when this is all behind us.  I pray we both have good outcomes.

May God bless us and all our sisters.

Hi there and welcome sister!

Mary V said you are on the fast track too. Since you asked about my story, here goes....
I had been having some lower abdominal pains, nausea, constipation/diarrhea, but always had something I could blame it on. On Jan 27th, the pain got much worse. I came home from work early, hurting so badly, I couldn't take a deep breath. That was a Friday, so on Monday, Jan 30, I called my primary care Dr and made a appt for Weds, Feb 1. At that appt, the Dr ordered a CT scan based on my symptoms and family history. I had the CT scan on Friday, Feb 3. The CT scan showed a 5.5 cm complex cyst with calcifications on my left ovary. I was then referred to an ob/gyn. It took about 2 weeks to get in to see her. She did a pap test, stool sample for occult blood, and CA125. The pap was normal and the stool sample was negative, however the CA125 came back as 457. Normal is below 35. I was then referred to a gyn/onc who will be doing a TAH/BSO this Thursday. My family history includes 2 sisters who have survived breast cancer, one of whom also had cervical cancer. I also lost a brother last June to colo-rectal cancer. He had had surgery and chemo, but it came back.
Finding this site was one of the best things that has happened to me in the last few weeks. These generous, caring women have educated me, encouraged me, prayed for me and kept me sane during the waiting. I'm looking forward to seeing them here all again on the recovery side.

You are impressive.  How do you keep up with everybody?  You seem to know so much about everybody.  You are a special person and seem to be the leader of the group.  We need someone like you.
